Following on from recent national and regional media coverage we have been receiving an increased number of applications from families of children with a life limiting condition all of whom are incurring significant additional costs while caring for their child.
Last weekend we were delighted to be able to send out cheques to the families of 14 children ranging in age from 6 months to 16 years of age across 9 Counties. This brings to 51 the number of families helped this year to date with your help. All of these families are incurring significant non medical costs while caring for their children and we hope that our assistance will ease some of the pressure they are under.
In the absence of any state funding we can only provide this support due to the generosity of many people through individual donations. numerous fundraising events and corporate donations and support.
There are approximately 4,000 children in Ireland with a life limiting condition and we will continue to support as many of those that need our help.
